Confidentiality Statement

Confidentiality is the foundation of effective advisory work. This is how it works — and where its limits lie.

Our commitment

Everything you share with us across our clients and engagements is treated as strictly confidential. Candour is what makes the work effective, and candour depends on trust. That trust is protected, deliberately and consistently — whether the work is market entry, business establishment, recruitment, supplier sourcing, enterprise risk, or executive advisory.

What is kept confidential

  • The content of our conversations and any commercial materials you share.
  • The fact and nature of the plans, transactions, and challenges you are working on.
  • Your organisation’s strategy, market intelligence, and internal assessments.

Corporate & sponsor-funded engagements

When an organisation sponsors an engagement on behalf of an individual or team, we protect the individual’s confidentiality while keeping the sponsor appropriately informed:

  • The content of individual advisory sessions remains confidential to the individual.
  • The sponsor receives only progress against the objectives agreed at the outset — reported so it never discloses the substance of conversations.
  • For programmes involving several participants, reporting is aggregated and anonymised, showing themes and progress rather than individual detail.
  • These boundaries are agreed in a three-way conversation between the individual, the sponsor, and ZA Global, and set out in writing, before the engagement begins.

Secure handling of information

Notes and personal data are stored securely and shared with no one, except as described in this statement or our Privacy Policy. Where an engagement requires specialist implementation support, information is shared with appropriately qualified and licensed partners only as necessary and under appropriate confidentiality agreements.

The limits of confidentiality

There are rare and specific circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be set aside — for example, where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person, or where disclosure is required by law. Wherever possible, we will discuss this with you first.

Distinct from therapy

Where an engagement includes executive advisory, coaching, or mentoring, these are developmental services and are distinct from psychological therapy or clinical treatment. See our Disclaimer for detail.
